This investigation took place at an interesting location in the heart of historic Brunswick, Ga. NEFLPI was called in to help a family with occurrences that have been happening for several generations.

 

The home is located on the site of a Civil War Era plantation and owned by the same family since the early 1900s. Just walking onto the property, one could feel the history linked to the location and the potential for paranormal activity.

 

The property spreads across a few acres with the back-side enveloped in the coastal oaks with low hanging limbs. The main home is an older two story that’s origin dates back to the turn of the 1900s with additions thru the years. In addition, there is an apartment house that been reported to be the location of significant paranormal activity.

 

In talking with both the homeowner and daughter, there have been numerous experiences of paranormal activity throughout the property. The homeowner (mother) has experienced the activity for most of her life but has not felt uncomfortable. The daughter, with her own young child, is not as comfortable and called us for answers. 

 

There have been numerous accounts of people seeing a black mass/figure throughout the property. This could be seen at various times of the day and night throughout the back yard and property. This has been witnessed and seen for a number of years based on the conversations with the homeowner.

 

Within the home, full body apparitions have been seen in both the kitchen and a bedroom. In the kitchen area, people have seen what looks like a small girl standing as if she wanted to help. 

 

While sleeping in one of the bedrooms, the daughter was awoken to the apparition of an older woman standing by the bed. She didn’t recognize the woman and needless to say was not comfortable with her being there. 

 

The apartment building outside was a “hangout” for the younger family members over the years. On one occasion, while in the building, the daughter saw what looked like the apparition of a man in a uniform from the Civil War era. She saw him briefly in the back part of the building just as he disappeared.

 

Given the reports of activity at this location, we hit it hard with our equipment. We set up the DVR and IR cameras in the hot spots throughout the home. Given the size of the location, we were able to work with two groups without the fear of contamination of evidence. Excited for the night ahead, we broke into groups and were hopeful to meet some of the ghosts of South Georgia. 

 

Our stationary equipment was set up within the home, while we used handhelds throughout the grounds. Given the reports of the black masses on the property, we wanted to make sure we split out time evenly between the home and the outside. This was quite a task, since it was December, even though in Georgia, it was cold.

 

We spent a significant amount of time at this location and had some personal experiences to report. While in the attic, a team was experiencing a significant change in temperature while conducting an EVP session. They investigated the possible cause for the fluctuation but could not find an answer. In the apartment building there was a definite feeling of a presence. Renee thought she saw the black figure during the walkthrough. Throughout the night there were instances of possible voices being heard and noises.

 

We broke down in the wee hours of the morning and went home to begin the evidence review. 

 

 

In addition to the personal experiences, we caught several EVPs in the home, apartment and on the property. 

 

We definitely feel there is activity at this location and discussed this with the homeowner during our reveal.

 

Based on our findings, we didn’t feel that there was anything harmful, but possibly entities tied to the location. Some of these could be family members that have not moved on.

 

We are planning on coming back to this location with a Psychic that could shed some light on the ghostly entities.
